Genealogy of Martina Phelipa
In the first half of the nineteenth century Martina Phelipa is living on the western part of the island of Curaçao. She is not married when in 1837 her daughter Susanna Gijsbertha is born. The civil authorities are informed by Cornelis Schaup, a member of a family of planters. When Susanna Gijsbertha marries the surname Schaup is used and when she died in 1927 at age ninety her name is written as Schoop. This genealogy is about the descendants of Martina Phelipa and her daughter Susanna Gijsbertha.

Susanna Gijsbertha Phelipa (Schaup), occupation seamstress and hat maker, born at Curaçao on May 31, 1837 and died at Curaçao on September 1, 1927, marries at Curaçao on February 18, 1857 (proclamation on February 6) with Martis Sincior Ortega, occupation carpenter, born at Curaçao about 1818 and died on January 18, 1905, son of Martina Girigorie Sester, occupation seamstress Susanna Gijsbertha was born as child of Martina Phelipa. The marriage of her mother could not be found. The information to the registrar was done by Cornelis Schaup. At her marriage in 1857 both Susanna Gijsbertha and her mother Martina carried the surname Schaup and when she died she was mentioned as the daughter of the deceased Cornelis Schoop.

Louis Martis Martina is also known as Martijn Schoop and as Martis Lodewijk Schoop.

Everardo Ambrosio Schoop, occupation tailor, born at Curaçao on December 15, 1897 and died in Flushing, Queens, NY on November 22, 1965, marries in Brooklyn, NY on July 14, 1923 with Rosalinda Juliana (Daal), born at Curaçao on May 23, 1898 and died in Flushing, Queens, NY on April 20, 1973, daughter of Euphrosina Bonessor (Confessor Troeman) With the recognition as their child on February 10, 1917 by her mother and by Matthias Daal, the original surname of Rosalinda Juliana changed from Bonessor into Daal. On October 17, 1919 the name of her mother changed from Euphrosina Bonessor into Euphrosina Confessor Troeman.
